In that case, your divorce should not affect your I-485. You only need to make sure that you (or your lawyer) withdraw the I-485/EAD/AP for your wife.

Hi,
Today I have got the template from Ron and he has written this for atlanta. I also posted question to him for adding the case number. I am bit concerned what kind of impact would be there if we give case number. Apart from that everything looks good. Feel free to add any comment or suggesstion.
I am not sure about chicago as the number is very small, feel free to add any suggession or you can directly talk to Ron Gotcher. if you are like around 10-20 guys, you may hire him and ask him to represent. I dont feel comfortable to ask him more help as he is not accepting any fee or just let me know if you how to approach/your thoughts.

All of the undersigned are the beneficiaries of foreign labor certification applications filed with that office. We have seen similar applications filed by others, substantially after our applications were filed, processed to completion. We have made inquiries into the reasons for the delays in our cases but we have not received any answers, much less explanations.
It is our understanding that the Atlanta office is no processing cases on a first in, first out basis. Rather, they are selecting cases almost at random for processing. This is unfair and unreasonable. Later filed applications are being given preferential processing over earlier filed cases.
We ask that your office open an investigation into the reasons for this policy. If you find improper conduct, we ask that you recommend appropriate disciple for those responsible. If you do not find improper conduct, we ask that you require the Atlanta office to provide a detailed explanation for their behavior and, on a go forward basis, provide for transparency in their selection process. Whatever the reason for their existing procedures, there is a clear air of impropriety in what they are doing.
We look forward to your reply.

My I485 application was approved aug 2nd and I got the card on aug 15th.
In the mean time my spouse application was also approved on aug 2nd but last week we got an email saying the card is returned undeliverable on aug 23rd.and aug 24th we got another email saying a notice was sent to the same address and that was also undelivered and there would be serious effects if the address is not updated.
We got our finger prints and everything in the same address and I am not sure why it was returned undeliverable.
Also I called the customer service on Aug23rd and 24th and updated the address.
any one in the same situation?
Does anyone know how long it would take for them to resend the card?

Assuming that EB2 candidates don't have larger families than EB3 candidates this should even out:) I mean the proportion.
There should be a way to mention the no of Green Cards applied for in a family. I could vote as EB2 . but in my family I applied for 3. this count also should be captured right?

Have you sent the renewal papers to the right location? If not, after Mar 26th receive date, the applications will be sent back to the applicant - to be sent to the correct lock box.

Is the any advantage (or not), filing 140 1st, and lets say your PD is already current, file AOS later. I.E. file them Separately, not in the same packet.
So in this scenario, is the any difference vs. filing concurrently or not?

Hi Guys,
For those who applied for the EAD and it has already arrived (or those who have done the ead renewal b4), when does the new EAD/AP start from?
Say my EAD is expiring on Oct 1 and I apply on June 1 (lets assume every month is exactly 30 days for calculation convenience). Now say my EAD arrives on say Sep 1, then does it start from Sep 1 or does it start on the original Oct 1? I guess my question is, do we lose a few weeks each time we renew the EAD/AP?

While entering the USA in Aug 2007 the Immigration office gave me I-94 validity till June 2008 which is equal to my H1-B Visa Stamp validity in passport, I had my new I-797 H1-B document from new employer with valid I-94 at the bottom till Sep 2009.
Will the I-94 validity given by immigration officer over rules the I-797 I-94 validity. If so, can i apply for the extension. Or shall i go out of the country and while entering ask the immigration officer to give validity based on my new I-797.

Make sure you take landing papers to US embassy with you to prove that you entered Canada legally. There should not be any problems.

Not sure about H1B, but I know this that she has to get give some certification exams for the state that she wants to practice from. A friend's wife got a certification done and then she worked in the US, and her employer filed for her GC and the GC was approved in 6 months in 2006. They are from India. I believe the US has a huge need for physiotheraphists and so under some rule/quota they get a GC very fast.
