Hello ..
filed my 140(EB3) regular processing Nebraska Service Centre with RD/ND=Oct25th 2006..
guys from April/May r still waiting and I think there must be whole load of 140 applications from June onwards..So maybe another backlog building up for 140 cases...If our application is not so strong and we file for prem.processing they might use a denial notice and knock us out..!!
Any idea when could my case be touched...expecting not until March..
whole of our life ends up in waiting...!!

Nice work. I definately like the second shot better with the red bulbs. You could try to rig up a "tent" over and around the sides of the shot with white sheets and put some lights shining thru that. That would give you a bit more consistency and cut down on the specular highlights a bit (although they are not bad by any means in either of these shots.
Another option would be to go for a really slow shutter speed and use a flashlight to "paint" the glasses. This sort of thing takes a lot of practice but I've seen some excellent shots done by this method.

Friends, enlighten me...Is this chat about long term action plan or is it the immediate action plan for oct bulletin retrogression?
If it is for the former, then that's fine and we have to pursue...
Then what about the latter? If it is for the latter, then we hardly have any time in Sep to atleast get something out of the remaining couple of weeks in Sep. No offense, but it is taking too long in the discussion and therefore I am for sending individual protests in the meantime before we finalize and decide the longterm action plan. So based on discussions couple of days ago in the forum, I am sending an individual protest letter (that was generally agreed upon in other threads) and fliers along with with it...

I am sure many of you don't know about TANA organization ( www.tana.org ). TANA is held every 2 years in one of the major cities in US, and for 2009 TANA is scheduled to happen in Chicago.
"TANA IS GOING TO CELEBRATE 2009 CONFERENCE IN CHICAGO AT DONALD E STEPHENS CONVENTION CENTER, ROSEMONT FROM JULY 02, 2009 TO JULY 04, 2009. "
They usually get around 12,000 to 15,000 guest of Telugu speaking people. The point i would like to make is to increase the exposure of to IV, we need to put up a booth in TANA 2009. I have attended TANA organization committee meeting on Sunday, 29 2008 and have spoken to them about IV. TANA has several stage shows, booth for business , food stalls and much more. TANA Chicago org will be needing some help( not sure what at this time ). but if we can help them so that they give us some exposure in the TANA 2009. it will be really great.
Secondly, we can have our own booth which will cost some money we can get lot of publicity.
This is just a idea and a i think it is a win-win for both of us. Let me know what you guys think.

I recently changed my company and joined one of the big 5.I already have my labor and I-140 approved from the previous employer.My eb3 date has become current.My previous empolyer is willing to continue my I-485 from his company. If I go ahead and file from his company, will I be able to use AC21 after 180 days? eventhough I don't work for him at the time of filing my I-485.
I'll really appreciate any thoughts n comments on ma situation

How come most of the 2006 PD holders getting approved? I do not have any grudge against who have 2006 PD and got their AOS approved. I am just wondering as to what is making USCIS to choose only 2006 PD ? Definitely, the low hanging fruits theory does not seem to be working here. Anybody has any idea about that ? I am just frustrated.

First..
None has ANY idea what's going on inside of USCIS.. by one account something like 30% of experienced adjudicators quit last year!
Second..
Even if lets say you get what you want.. what would that achieve??? ultimately your case gets decided on its merit..
But chances are people like you.. you will put another question and then 1 more and then 1 more..

Here is my situation:
- I have a valid H1B and EAD through Employer A. My current status is H1B.
- I am getting offer from Employer B but they are asking me to join on EAD so that I dont have to wait for H1 Trasnfer approval. They are okay in filing for H1 B Transfer at the same time. Here are 2 questions I have:
1. In case H1 transfer gets denied then will I be able to go back to Employer A and continue on the current H1B ? I really dont want to take the risk of using EAD since if I-485 is denied then I will have to leave immediately.
2. Will I be able to maintain my H1 B status even if I join on the basis of EAD considering that H1 B transfer application is filed before I join.
Your answer will be very helpful for me to take the right decision.

Hi my father lost his passport at the airport today and with it his I94 and US B1 visa. We do have scanned copies of his US Visa and Passport. I would appreciate any pointers on the following question -
1. What are my next steps?
2. I figured from browsing few sites that he needs to apply for I94 - does any one know of any vague ETA there?
3. Would he have to go through his visa stamping again?

I am not sure about the next steps regarding the visa. I guess you might to need to file police complaint about the loss of passport and inform Indian consulate. Did you check the USCIS web site for the visa.

If your wife wants to work, then, of course, both of you have to be on EAD.That's not correct. Primary applicant could be on H1 and dependent use EAD. When dependent starts using EAD it doesn't affect primary applicant.

Is this your wife's first 485 application? Any past I485 Applications? It may possible that your wife has old A# number from 2003.
We got an RFE on my wife's I-485 requesting for copy of marriage certificate. Our priority date is August 2005 (EB2). ND is September 05, 2007.
Anyone else in the same boat? Does this mean USCIS has began processing the 2005 apps?

not a red-dotter - but i do believe we should leave the forums open to talk not just about immigration but also immigrant related issues.
this will help draw more people towards IV who can then contribute to IV core agenda in any way feasible for them.
also will motivate people to hang around IV even once they get their GCs or Citizenship.

And any ideas on what will we do with the final list? If it ever gets to include absolutely everything - much of it may even be hidden from us - you never know what goes on inside those Fed buildings!
I think if we have enough data with actual incidents /dates , we can atleast post them on blogs, send them to the director USCIS, send complaint to congress and whereever else we can.

I did apply PIO for my daughter 3 weeks ago and it's still processing. This is NY consulate. The status simply says couple more days!

Its a nice vision. But as people getting green card they would
leave here..Any organization needs money to survive...Who
will donate it? But I agree that we need an organization
to represent ourselves.
Certain things we could address after GC Retrogression is
undercontrol ( if ever happens)
1. Address FBI name check issue..
2. Bring back VISA revalidation inside USA so that we
dont have to make a trip to US embassy..
3. Work for getting Social Security money back if we returns to home country.
....etc etc........
As time pass by old issues may be solved, but new issues will
surface.....
So I'll support an organization for sure!

I want to address this to everyone. Any organization needs a clear and precise Vision statement. Majority of the senior member complain that the people with green card and citizenship do not support immigration voice; then the question becomes what is our vision. If we confine ourselves to the benefit that we all should get green card, then what is the need for someone who has already got a green card to visit this web site. Humans are need based animals, whether you like it or not tomorrow if I get my Green Card (A big IF) it is very much likely that my visit to this website will be minimized. My priorities will be different. So core group should get a better vision statement which might address all immigrants.
The reason I came to immigration voice is slightly different, because I am still not convinced enough to accept that core group could do something which will make our law makers� act different. I support immigration voice on a bigger picture, it unites all immigrants together, and the website provides me support to all my immigration need. For example, I can search the website and find information regarding visa stamping, H1 quota and what my fellow countrymen think about it. So my sincere advice to the core group is to create a vision statement which is much bigger than the green card issue and which will make sure all immigrant no matter with green card or not will visit our website. Make the vision statement visible in the website. You have much better exposure through this. I have to agree, I am writing this out of frustration :D , but to be honest, do not treat this website for green card retrogression alone, treat it as something bigger, which will address all immigrant needs.
