from what we see on other posts, what matters most is
1. company is hiring u as a fulltime employee
2. job desc is same or similar
3. annual salary is >= one specified in approved labor
you can get paid by hr, but just extrapolate that hrly value into annual salary, and state that.

Hi .. I am on L1 with my current employer. I applied H1B through a consultancy and my petition got approved. My current employer told me that they can transfer my approved H1B to them. Is it really possible to transfer H1B to my current employer, just by having the approved petition?

You can change from L-1 to H-1 as long as your H-1 is approved and valid.
No you do not need to get it stamped while in US. Only if you go out of US and come back, you will need stamped H-1.

Would going to Canada and re-entering without going for visa stamping count as lawful entry??
Or one has to go and get the visa stamped to qualify as lawful entry??
Also when you go to Canada and come back Without VISA stamping, he gets the same I-94 or different I-94??

I made an emergency appointment about a year ago to get my h1b stamped at new Delhi. To schedule such an appointment you would need the LIN# of your I-797 ( H1b approval notice ), your US residential and your employer information.

I fixed infopass appt last week for my interm EAD through infopass.uscis.gov. It showed me a date exactly 91st day from the date of RC date so I fixed that date. Hope this helps.

I am worried about my employer. Given the fact about I-485 apps and the last few days of labor in the previous month I have doubts about my employer. He is a very mean and hopeless desi employer and I am worried if he sold out my labor to some high bidder. is there any way i can find out if my labor is still infact in my name. any thoughts

This post discuss where to file H-1B extensions for beneficiaries working for petitioners, which are not cap exempt, but who are "employed at" cap exempt facilities.
The VSC (Vermont Service Center) refers to the September 10, 2009, USCIS Guidance regarding the direct filing address for I-129 petitions, noting that H-1B employers filing petitions which are cap exempt must file such petitions exclusively with the California Service Center.
VSC notes that in this instance, the term "cap exempt" refers only to those petitioners who are exempt from the numerical limitations identified in 8 CFR 214.2 (h)(8)(i)(A). "Cap exempt" petitioners are those described in 8 CFR 214.2(h)(19)(iii), and include:
* Institutions of higher education as defined in section 101(a) of the Higher Education Act of 1965, 20 U.S.C. 1001(a);
* Nonprofit organizations or entities connected or associated with institutions of higher education, as described in 8 CFR 214.2(h)(19)(iii)(B);
* Nonprofit research organizations or governmental research organizations as defined in 8 CFR 214.2(h)(19)(iii)(C); and

i am on h4 and this was the first time a company filed for my h1b. so would that be ok if company "B" files for my h1b with h1b filed with company "A" is pending with RFE.

I am currently unemployed and my spouse needs to travel to Mumbai urgently. Our AP is valid through November 30, 2009. Will there be any issues for my wife when she comes back - possibly because of my current status. Wife is employed (with a different company)& the EAD/AP was filed by my last employer. with struggling economy and jobs, less and less Americans are supporting any kind of immigration. Legal, or Illegal, they dont care. No one, I mean no one will support us in a way that can be heard by media and the people in high seats. This is our battle and we must fight it alone. Others will help only if we show green, or some kind of benefit of their own.

AC 21 allows a job change after 180 days pending of I-485. Will that allow a job change for a similar job position that is employed by a US company but work internationally (i.e. not working in the US)?

My understading is that you can not work internationally. This information is based on one of the attorney conference calls IV organized a few months ago.
On another note, please contribute to IV's letter campaign - this is one way of helping yourself and increasing your options! It only takes a few minutes - sign your name to one of IV's template letters and stick a stamp on an envelope.
